Abstract Title: How the accuracy of a flow meter can impact on the reliability of a process using control valves as an example
Presenter Name: Mr Greg Wainhouse
Company/Organisation: Burkert Fluid Control Systems Ltd
Country: United Kingdom

Abstract Information :

In this presentation we look at a theoretical process dosing chemical into a water treatment process. We often find oversized pipework to reduce pressure losses, but it thereby typically impacts the accuracy of the flow meter through low velocities. We go on to look at how this impacts control of a process specifically with control valves, but also looks at the impact on different linear valve designs. rnGiven time we can also demonstrate how to accurately size a valve which can be used to discuss with a design engineer contractor to quot;close the loopquot; and produce an accurate control solution.
