As we move towards a low carbon future, it’s important for organisations with a heritage in the oil and gas industry to embrace the technology challenges associated with gas sensing and monitoring in the hydrogen economy. This talk will use three themes to explore some of the issues that this can entail: • Sensing – Technical challenges and applications for leak detection and photoionisation detector-based gas sensing within the hydrogen economy • Foresight – How best can organisations leverage existing expertise to move towards future low carbon applications for sensing technology • Clairvoyance – The challenges of trying to develop a clear strategy for the hydrogen economy when the landscape is so large and rapidly changing
