Abstract Information :
The current emerging scenario in the environmental sector of India is the installation of Continuous Monitoring Systems and getting the data available in public domain at large and on hand for the regulators in specific.
After the first and important step of installation of Continuous Monitoring Systems the most challenging issue is getting it connected to the Data Acquisition & Handling System of regulators.
There are many issues and challenges that are underlying to not only getting the data, but getting it timely, correctly and most importantly credibly.
Hence, for the complete success of Continuous Monitoring Systems for use in regulatory purpose it is required that all these challenges are met and solutions worked out so that the data generated and available with the regulators is enforceable for making industrial units compliant. It can also be used by the industries for self-compliance and monitoring as the data can be accessed by them even before regulator springs in action.
