Abstract Title: Emissions Monitoring Solutions for Emerging Markets

Abstract Information :

Traditionally there have been three methods employed to monitor emissions. Full Extractive; where a gas sample is extracted and transferred through a heated sample line to a monitoring shelter where the sample is conditioned and analyzed. In-Situ; where the instrument is mounted directly on the stack and transmits a beam of infrared or ultraviolet light through the stack gas, and absorption is measured by a receiver. And Close-Coupled; where the gas sample is extracted within a stack-mounted head and analyzed. However, we will present an alternative measurement solution which combines many of the advantages of the traditional methods and eliminates most of their disadvantages. This is more conducive to emerging emissions control markets due to lower cost, simplicity, and ability to measure all required pollutants in one instrument by packaging several sensor technologies, including IR, UV, TDL, CLD and others, in one compact unit. Further, by mounting the enclosure on the stack, this solution offers additional cost savings by reducing expensive transport lines and eliminating the need for a shelter and racks of instrumentation.
