The type approval and QAL1 certification of automated measuring systems in accordance to EN 15267 part 3 is since several years an established procedure for the quality assurance of automated measuring systems in Europe. The part 3 of the EN 15267 has its focus on the qualification of CEM systems for stationary use.
Actually CEN TC 264 is in progress to develop a new standard for the qualification of portable AMS (P-AMS) - the EN 15267 part 4. The new standard will be published at the beginning of 2017 and will have a significant influence on the work of the users like the institutes on the stack testing market in Europe.
The new standard EN 15267-4 will open also a big market segment for the manufacturers of measuring equipment. One key aspect of the EN 15267-4 the possibility is to qualify the P-AMS as an alternative method for the established standard reference methods.
The speech will give an overview about the procedure how to qualify a P-AMS in the framework of EN 15267-4 and describes new possibilities for end-users and manufacturers.
