Abstract Information :

No Poster but oral presentation CEMS keeping pace with evolving regulations Clemens Berth , Siemens AG Germany in association with Adage Automation . Environmental protection is core part of daily life and present through the entire industrial world. Important for limitation of pollutant are various regulations setting different emission limits for several applications and as well defining performance standards for the Emission measuring system. As the emission limits are constantly decreasing, Analyzers must keep pace with challenging measuring tasks and certification procedures. There are different ways to answer these challenges. Some technologies are close to their limits, some will be able to answer also future challenges. This presentation shows, how answers can look like, which technology is a cost-effective answer. As an example ULTRAMAT 23 shows, how different technologies can be combined to meet requirements to have measuring ranges for SO2, NOx and CO down to 50 mg/m³. To monitor these low ranges reliably the sample preparation system has increasing importance. A correct gas handling system makes sure, that the analysis shows exactly the concentration in the stack. An example will explain, how a state-of-the-art installation can look like.
