There are many benefits to the use of two-dimensional gas chromatography, however one of those benefits; the generation of much greater amounts of data on a sample; requires adjustments to our ways of working. For untargeted screening where we are either trying to look for patterns in a number of samples, for example flavour profiling. Or we might be looking for a taint, the proverbial needle in a haystack, however now our haystack has increased to the size of a barn! This presentation describes software solutions using GC Image to provide simplified workflows for both flavour profiling & taints analysis, using real data sets to demonstrate the processes.
