Abstract Information :
Recent changes in emissions control regulations for stack emissions are introducing an increasing requirement for more portable, robust and easy to use equipment for gas analysis. The signing in November 2015 of the EU Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD) brought a new category of emissions into the EU regulatory framework with a requirement for continuous or periodic analytical measurements. Increasingly the availability of analytical methods in process control equipment such as micro-GC's, requires the ability to calibrate instruments at locations distributed around a refinery or petrochemical plant where portability and ease of use are of benefit. This presentation will look at the portable package solutions available to provide the gas mixtures required to accurately calibrate process control and emissions monitoring equipment across refineries and petrochemical complexes.
