The mercury is proven environmental pollutant. Total mercury (THg) is determined in coastal waters of Karachi's coastal areas regardless of other inorganic and organic Hg species. Cold vapor AAS technique is used as principal analysis method. Results are verified by anodic stripping voltammetry as independent method. A track of THg is discovered for coastal system of Karachi coast. Industries like oil refineries, thermal electric power plants, steel manufacturing mills are identifies as source. Variation in THg patterns are noticed with climatic change. Also other phsico-chemical parameters are assessed with THg outcomes. Results are chemo-metrically treated for interpretation.
