A breakthrough in the analysis of dithiazine in natural gas

Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is a ubiquitous pollutant in natural gas, oil, and gas applications; it is a danger to human health and the environment as well as being highly corrosive and noxious. A variety of methods are used to eliminate this pollutant, for many years, using MEA-triazine as a cat to the H2S mouse has proven to be the most cost-effective and efficient solution. However, this process precipitates the formation of dithiazine as a kinetic by-product. Although the presence of dithiazine is a reliable indicator of the removal of H2S, its low level of solubility creates a new problem in the process, as its presence leads to a reduction in permeability and production flow. Therefore, we need to learn about the procedure of dithiazine formation and its quantification in natural gas.
