Biography:

Laurie is a Chartered Systems and Water Engineer. He worked for Thames Water for 30 years, when he left in 2002, he held the position of Principal Engineer - ICA (Instrumentation, Control and Automation) He led many SCADA, telemetry and automation projects, presented papers at UK and International conferences and won a Water Industry Innovation award in 1999 for a leakage reduction project in London - one of the first IOT systems in the water industry.

Subsequently, he worked for a systems integrator, consultant in energy efficient pumping systems, founder of a condition monitoring technology company and 2 years with Virgin Media. He founded AQX to pioneer the development of an open architecture for water management powered by industrial IOT, and a new concept in service delivery of advanced automation for water management.
