Biography:

Matt Dibbs is Managing Director at Meteor Communications, an innovative environmental monitoring solutions company. Over the past few years Meteor have pioneered use of high resolution, real time monitoring systems for Final Effluent and Catchment monitoring using the Meteor ESNET platform and xylem EXO multiparameter sondes. Over 300 of these systems are currently in service with Water Utilities, Government Agencies and Consultants. Matt has a background in Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, developing robust reliable systems for data acquisition, control and dissemination.

Short description about presentation:

Multiparameter sondes are an established technology used in high resolution, real time Water Quality applications. Meteor Communications have worked with Xylem to develop this technology for use in final effluent monitoring applications. Over 120 systems are currently successfully in service with water utilities across the UK.

This talk will show how the Meteor ESNET data collection platform and Xylem EXO2 multiparameter sonde are used in final effluent applications, providing high quality real time Water Quality data. It will demonstrate how the systems are designed to minimise fouling and maximise data accuracy. There will also be example installations to show how the systems can be deployed to any location, with no requirement for mains power or data connection.
