Gas Detectors Built to Last a Lifetime

Weatherall Equipment & Instruments Ltd. are the exclusive UK & Ireland distributor and Authorised Service Centre for gas detection products manufactured by the Riken family of companies: Riken Keiki Co., Ltd. Japan, Riken Keiki Korea Co.,Ltd., and RKI Instruments, Inc. USA.

Our long-term association with Riken Keiki, and sister companies, has developed into an excellent business relationship. With the support of Riken and RKI products, our sales continue to develop in demanding industries such as Marine Shipping, Oil & Gas, Utilities, Wastewater, Telecommunications, and specialist industries such as Semiconductor, Fumigation, and Anaesthetics; to name but a few.

Riken Keiki, is a world leader in gas detection and sensor technologies, and has been in business for over 77 years. In 1929 Riken Keiki’s founder Dr. Jiro Tsuji developed the world’s first combustible gas monitor; an Interferometer based on light wave interference. By 2009 Riken had sold over 800,000 portable and fixed gas monitors worldwide with annual sales exceeding £330 million. Riken Keiki have over 700 employees, a large number of which are engineers and scientists.

Riken’s instruments are serviceable and built to last. Designed and made to the highest quality and standards; providing users with gas detectors that are reliable and dependable.

We have also recently started to represent Toray Engineering Co., LTD. Toray’s zirconia oxygen analysers achieve quick response and theoretical output, which is valued highly in many applications such as the check of residual oxygen by trace gas in food packages, the control and monitoring of processing atmosphere in metal or semiconductor production, combustion control, cultivation and fermentation. Toray zirconia oxygen analysers determine oxygen concentration using the conductivity of a zirconia ceramic cell.

We'll also be exhibiting IMSPEX’s GC-IMS (gas chromatograph with ion mobility spectrometer), a sophisticated analytical technique for a multitude of applications, including Siloxanes in Biogas.

This year our Seminar Workshop titled "Understanding the importance of siloxane, odour and flavour taint monitoring"
will be presented by Dr Emma Brodrick of IMSPEX at 2.30-3.00 on Wednesday 2nd November in Room One.

This technically focused workshop will host a brief discussion around the importance of siloxane and odour monitoring, with attention also given to the rapid detection of Geosmin and 2-Methylisoborneol (2-MIB) concentrations.

It will be a practical ‘hands on’ session with an open discussion on the need and ease with which waste water and its gasses can be analysed using the latest GC-IMS technology. The workshop will demonstrate the rapid capabilities of the at-line monitoring system and its necessity and benefits of implementation.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 2nd or Thursday 3rd November at WWEM 2016 on our stand 65, or at our Seminar Workshop.
