Abstract Information :
Ion Selective Electrode sensors are the mainstay for detecting chemicals. The main drawback with these sensors is that in operation the reference electrode drifts, causing inaccuracy and requiring manual calibration. ANB Sensors i-Cal technology provides a self-calibration system which increases accuracy and removes the need for manual calibration.
ANB Sensors is an SME based in Cambridge, UK developing the i-Cal for Ion Selective Electrodes. The i-Cal is focused on measuring the drift of the reference electrode in real time, without end-user intervention. The patented system is placed inside the reference electrode chamber of the ISE and captures any drift of the reference electrode potential.
Through Innovate UK and EU H2020 funding, ANB Sensors have demonstrated the i-Cal technology can operate over a wide temperature range, is independent of anions (Cl, Br, SCN, S), cations (K, Na, Ca, Mg), solution pH, and has an equivalence operation of 200 days and counting.
