Bruker AXS offers instruments for X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence analysis, single crystal diffraction, X-ray micro-computed tomography, optical emission spectroscopy, and combustion analysis. Within the X-ray fluorescence (XRF) portfolio Bruker AXS provides a wide range of products for the petrochemical industry.
These products include compact benchtop instruments such as S2 POLAR for Ultra-Low Sulfur (ULS) analysis in automotive fuels according to ASTM D7220, D4294, or ISO 13032 as well as for lubricating oil analysis according to ASTM D6481 and D7751 including the elements Mg, P, S, Cl, Ca, Zn, and Mo.
The benchtop energy-dispersive XRF (EDXRF) S2 PUMA is suitable for wear metal analysis in lubricating oils while the benchtop wavelength-dispersive XRF (WDXRF) S6 JAGUAR offers norm-compliant element analysis according to ASTM D2622, D6443 or ISO 51399.
The floor standing WDXRF S8 TIGER is the first choice for high demanding central labs in refineries and other petrochemical companies.

The S2 POLAR is the Energy-Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer for the petrochemical industry
The S2 POLAR masters all requirements for S analysis from diesel to crude oils. This also includes continuous process control of higher sulfur levels in refineries as well as norm-compliant Ultra-Low Sulfur (ULS) analysis of final products. The S2 POLAR complies with the international S norms such as ASTM D7220, D4294, and ISO 13032.
With its capability to measure multiple elements simultaneously, including Cl for corrosion prevention and P against residue build-up, the S2 POLAR is well suited for the analytical demands of refineries in one single instrument.
The S2 POLAR is also well suited for the norm-compliant analysis of additives in lubricating oils according to ASTM D6481 and ASTM D7751 that includes the elements Mg, P, S, Cl, Ca, Zn, and Mo. The analysis of elements in edible oils (e.g. Mg, P, Ca) or palm oils.
