Antwerp and beer: an ideal combination. And where better to experience it than the brewery where Antwerp's definitive beer, Bolleke, is brewed? During your visit, you can hear, see and taste the story of De Koninck. Afterwards, linger for a while and discover top products such as chocolate, cheese, cold meats and bread, a barbecue restaurant and a rooftop bar.
Two of Antwerp's star attractions are not to be missed on your next visit, as they have been beautifully renovated. In the historic Plantin-Moretus Museum, the art of printing is innovatively brought to life. Discover the world’s oldest printing presses and a beautiful art collection. In M HKA, the Museum of Modern Art, you can now look round a free permanent collection on the ground floor.
Antwerp is more than historical buildings and old masters. Contemporary art, modern design and trend-setting fashion have also claimed their place here. Don’t miss MOMU, the Antwerp Fashion Museum, where there’s a superb exhibition running until the end of August: a homage to the Hermès collections of world-famous designer Martin Margiela.
From 10 June, there's a brand-new, unique museum to explore on the Scheldt. At Museum De Reede, admire graphic works by three of the greatest engravers of all time: Francisco Goya, Félicien Rops and Edvard Munch. Each of the three masters has a room to himself. On the ground floor you’ll find work by other artists and temporary exhibitions.
Antwerp is a metropolis on a human scale: everything is accessible and within easy reach. It's simple to walk or cycle from one attraction to another. If you want to visit somewhere that’s further away, you can use public transport. Your Antwerp City Card is your ticket. Handy, isn't it?
