Abstract Information :

Leak detection with optical gas imaging (OGI) technology is rapidly becoming the technology of choice for the oil & gas industry. However, since OGI is a non-quantifying technology, regulators and industry are looking to better understand the limitations and comparison between OGI and traditional method 21-based Leak detection and repair (LDAR) technology. OGI leak detection is based on mass flow detection limits compared to the volumetric concentrations (ppm-v) provided by the traditional PID/FID-based "sniffers". The presentation will show empirical test results of Opgal's EyeCGas cooled OGI camera and its detection capabilities in various indoors and outdoors conditions. we will share Opgal's understating of OGI technology envelope of sensitivity performance, both in terms of mass flow and concentration.
