Abstract Information :

There is a critical shortage of water resources worldwide. Water consumption far exceeds the renewable water resources. Water recycling provides an additional viable source of water to meet the growing demand. It can satisfy most water demands if adequately treated. The process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage forms: physical, chemical, and biological processes. Domestic and industrial wastewater objective is to prevent and reduce pollution and protect human health .Additionally, it can decrease diversion of fresh water from sensitive ecosystems The main objectives of this paper is to present Concepts of domestics biological and industrial treatments, and discussed challenges in quality of the finished treated water liable to be used as a sustainable and avail another source of water. Different scenarios were discussed regarding chemical and biological analysis encountered in producing high quality of the finished water. Waste characterization for raw sewage such as BOD and ammonia, suspended solids were evaluated. Moreover, biological toxins and microorganisms were identified with scanning electron microscope micrograph. The chemical and biological credentials for the final treated wastewater effluent reveal >-99% treatment efficiency. Toxicity of heavy metals in treated effluent poses a serious health hazard and there is a need to control its emission into the environment. Experimental results demonstrate that bio sorption with wastewater sludge can become an effective weapon in the fight against pollution from toxic metals .Sludge from waste water was thermally digested, Its surface was explored by scanning electron microscope which reveal that it is chemically covered by microorganism with chemically multi-binding sites that normally play a vital role in removing trace toxic metals from water .The latter approach was utilized in batch methods for removing toxic metals from treated effluent . Frendrich and Langmurian isotherms were plotted to characterize the adsorption mechanism and capacity of heavy metals on sludge surface. Further, that results were interpreted for the ornamental plant irrigation and drinking water that added additional merits for using treated effluent as a sustainable water resource in multidisciplinary purpose. Wastewater can be treated to produce an effluent of suitable quality for many reuse applications.
