Qmicro has developed the DynamiQ micro GC gas analyzer product line for fast accurate on-line gas monitoring. The DynamiQ X gas analyzer is based on an innovative micro gas analysis platform with integrated micro injector and microTCD detectors plus columns, all packaged in a small cartridge oven on a small host module. The platform contains silicon chips made by MEMS microtechnology, and directly chip-to-chip assembled, which results in virtual zero dead volumes and microscopic small flow channels. The technology will be presented and it will be shown that it not only miniaturizes the gas analysis instruments but is also increasing the speed of analysis.
This will be demonstrated by means of a natural gas C6+ analysis combined with permanent gasses (H2, N2, O2), CO2, CO and H2S. For this application, a back-flush to detector technology is developed, to integrate the peaks after C6 and to detect the backflush peak parallel to the forward flush in order to reduce analysis time. The integration of several microTCD detectors lead to a cost-effective multiple channel solution.
