Dr. K. P. Prathish is a scientist at CSIR-NIIST who spearheaded the modernization of India’s only dedicated dioxin research and monitoring facility. His team has conducted impactful studies on waste management and pollution control, addressing POPs in dumpyard fire sites, biomedical waste treatment plants, industrial hotspots, and mineral processing industries. He developed an affordable GC-MS/MS method for dioxins/PCBs, earning the AOAC India Young Scientist Award (2020). He established accredited facilities supporting environmental clearances and food safety, while also leading policy-oriented UNEP projects on unintentional POPs. With ~40 publications, a US-patent, and mentoring record, he bridges research, regulation, and industry needs.

Ramkesav S. is a doctoral scholar at the Environmental Technology Division of CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram. His current research, under the guidance of Dr. K.P. Prathish, focuses on the development of novel materials for the photocatalytic abatement of air pollutants, specifically nitrogen oxides (NOx ) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). His expertise extends to the broader field of environmental monitoring and pollution control, with significant hands-on experience in stack sampling from industrial incinerators. He is proficient in the collection and analysis of a wide spectrum of pollutants, including NOx, SO2, HCl, particulate matter (PM), heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants (POPs), particularly dioxins and furans. I am currently holding Scientific Advisor position in Vasthi Instruments Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2015 certified company established at Guntur Andhra Pradesh India. My work dedicates to calibration of the instruments technologies of the air quality parameters measurement and weather monitoring, and air and meteorology data harmonization and analysis for research purpose. He integrated CHROMATOTEC® company 15 years ago in Research department and has been involved in the development of online VOCs analyzer such as online GCMS for environment applications. Then he has pursued CHROMATOTEC® experience by doing field technical service worldwide, bringing him an international experience. Progressively he has been involved in the sales process of the projects first in Asia and mainly in China with participation in developing CHROMATOTEC® Beijing branch office. Along with business development, he has been involved in several R&D projects by giving his experience collected on the field and with customers worldwide to develop new ATEX solutions which can operate in hazardous area. The expertise lead him to become sales manager in 2020 and then General Manager of CHROMATOTEC® in 2022. He continues to develop CHROMATOTEC® presence worldwide on niche markets.

Joel Duah is an environmental data analyst and an air quality monitoring expert with over three years of experience focused in air quality analytics and has been instrumental in developing innovative solutions for environmental challenges in West Africa. He is a major contributor to the Ghana Online Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (GOCEMS), a software implemented by ECHT Environmental Services in partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency of the Republic of Ghana to monitor and regulate industrial emissions in all parts of the country in real-time. My research involves exploring sustainable raw materials, optimizing membrane fabrication techniques, and evaluating their performance for industrial wastewater applications. Through my work, I aim to advance affordable and efficient water treatment solutions that support environmental sustainability and address the growing challenges of global water scarcity.

He has been with Lummus Technology for last more than 15 years and has been involved in various aspects of technology licensing from concept to commissioning across a wide range of technologies offered by Lummus. Manoj is currently working as Director Business Development in India office of Lummus. In his current role he is focusing on the business development activities of Lummus’ Ethylene, Petrochemical and Water technologies portfolio.

Prof. Amlan Chakrabarti is a senior academic and technology leader, currently serving as Professor and Director of the A.K. Choudhury School of Information Technology, University of Calcutta, and Adjunct Professor at IIIT Delhi. With over 20 years of experience in digital systems, AI, IoT, cyber-physical infrastructure, and quantum technologies, he has led major national and industry-funded projects in areas like smart water systems, digital transformation, and secure computing. He is the Chairman of the Computer Society of India (CSI), Kolkata Chapter, and the Series Editor of Springer’s Book Series on “Water Informatics”, reflecting his leadership at the intersection of technology and sustainability. A recipient of several national and international awards including from DST, INSA, JSPS, Cambridge University, and IBM, he has published 200+ research papers, holds multiple patents, and serves on India’s National Quantum Mission Technical Expert Group, contributing to national policy and innovation strategies.

Dola Gupta is a DST Women Scientist at the University of Calcutta, specializing in AI/ML, IoT, sensor networks, and data analytics with applications in water informatics, environmental sustainability, and Agritech. She has experience in academia as an Assistant Professor, Guest Faculty, PhD Scholar, and currently as Principal Investigator in a DST-funded project. Her innovations include smart learning models (SLMs) and IoT architectures for cost-effective, energy-efficient smart agriculture solutions. She has received several recognitions, including 1st Prize at IDEATHON, IIT Ropar (2025), a grant from IIT Kharagpur Research Park, and being a winner in CHUNAUTI 7.0. She has published extensively in IEEE, Springer, and SN Computer Science journals on smart agriculture, water management, and communication systems. She holds a patent (2024) on IoT-based sustainable agriculture systems. Her academic journey includes B.Tech, M.Tech from Jadavpur University, and a Ph.D. (pursuing) at the University of Calcutta. She is actively engaged in organizing workshops, FDPs, and reviewing for reputed journals. She is a Managing Committee Member of CSI (2025–27) and member of IEEE (ComSoc, CS) and IWA. She has research in IoT & AI, teaching, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership in tech-driven societal applications.
