Abstract Information :
Following the UK’s exit from the European Union, the UK Government and the Devolved Administrations have established a new regime committed to defining and implementing the ‘Best Available Techniques’ for UK industry. The UK BAT process will set the industrial environmental standards required for the future protection of the environment within the UK. The standards will be the basis for environmental permits for the next 12-15 years. Nine industry sectors are currently under review ranging from waste gas treatment in the chemicals industry and Slaughterhouses and Animal by-products.
