Simon Medhurst has been actively involved in stack emissions monitoring since 1984. He will present some personal reflections on the developments in stack emissions monitoring that have occurred since the introduction of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. This will include relevant legislation, availability of standards and guidance, measurement techniques, role of accreditation and certification as well as improvements in health and safety and the provision of sampling facilities.
